Impact + Confidence + Ease, each 1–10. Fast triage when you need to compare experiments or hypotheses and don't have time (or data) to estimate reach precisely.
ICE is the lighter cousin of RICE. Pick ICE when brainstorming or running a growth sprint and need to triage ideas fast. Pick RICE when you have user data and are planning a quarter's roadmap.
Impact: 1 = minimal, 5 = meaningful, 10 = transformational. Confidence: 1 = pure guess, 5 = analogous evidence, 10 = tested. Ease: 1 = quarter+, 5 = 1–2 sprints, 10 = half a day.
Scores above 20 are generally worth doing; below 12 usually not. Use comparative order rather than absolute score — calibration drifts between individuals.
